My wife and I live near Lake Placid in NY and have decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Zermatt!! We are very excited but our budget is a bit tight. Great skiing and riding while enjoying the village is our goal. A clean room with a decent kitchen that is close enough to the village will do just fine. I have communicated with the Artists Apartments and was quoted CHF 834 for 6 nights starting March 7th and appears to include most everything. Does anyone know of this place or have ANY other info that would be helpful?? THANKS!

If that’s for both of you it’s a good deal. Does it include anything else ?
Other info – I can recommend the lamb with potato gratin at Le Gitan (45chf pp) and the cheese fondue at Cafe du Pont. The Italian side is sunny in the morning, and they make really nice creamy but dark hot chocolates. If you ski down Patrullarve into Ried you can stop at a place called Ajed or Amjed and they make a nice cheese rosti if you ask them to. From there you can ski almost directly to Wiesti or get a lift down into Sunnegga station. The Alex Hotel is probably my favourite bar in the whole world and they make great cocktails for about 12-18chf a pop, which is a bit pricey but nothing like what some places in town are charging…
