(When you get off the train from Montreux you will hear announcements about which platform to go to for Zermatt. It will probably be 3. Walk down the ramp or stairs to the tunnel and then up to the platform indicated.
From Montreux if you sit on the right hand side facing the engine you get a great, close up view of the château de Chillon a couple of minutes after leaving Montreux.
Visp to Zermatt is roughly a little over an hour. And a pretty ride. Quite a lot of the carriages these days are panoramic – try to get on one of those.
